Add New links

So far I have worked out almost all of my issues but one area that is causing me problems is I want to add some additional links to the menu bar similar to the + Submit a Story. I want to add forum, blog and possibly gallery. Is this hard coded or can it be changed with in Drupal.

BUT:

this is not recommended at all, the best is to create a block in drupal (admin/blocks) and then add your links inside the block. Read the documentation on drupal.org about blocks. This is not a drigg related issue.
