Possible to use jquery update?

Hi,

I know there is a lot of discussion going on about this. And you are very much into this. With Drupal 6 coming, my question is going to be "quickly" outdated, but not for another few months.

I want to use modules such as panels, on a drigg site. But these only install if you have jquery update installed. The drigg install instruction clearly state that you cannot activate the module.

So... I am wondering if people have been in the same situation and what their solution has been. Please share...

I was also wondering about the possibility of using jquery2 update. Would that be compatible with the jquery drigg uses?

Thanks for any help!

Porting to D6...

Hi,

The porting to D6 is happening as we speak...

The answer to your question is "play with it". All jquery_update does, is add a couple of collapsing hacks and put a new version of jquery there. Play with it (and watch out for the cache) and see when it finally works.

Bye,

Merc.

Using jQuery update 2

I've just updated mine to jQuery 5x.2.0 and so far everything looks good, just remember to delete compat-1.0.js and collapse-fix.js or your colapsiblocks won't expand anymore.

I'm new to Drupal/Drigg and jQuery so please test everything and don't take my word for it.
