User Cannot Edit Own Post ??? No Profile Contact Form?

I have a situation where I am testing a production site - registered, authenticated user has posted but cannot edit his/her own post (scoop/drigg type).

I am not sure if this is by design, or a setting that I am overlooking:

+ edit own scoop - permission is granted to authenticated users
+ How many hours entries are able to be edited by submitters:
is set to 0 for indefinite

I have posts automatically becoming published, promoted to the front page. Do I need to install a patch to grant this power to users for "promoted" posts???

I am using Drigg 5.x 1.33

This may be related: I am also noticing in profile even if authenticated user has "allow contact through contact form" enabled, that tab is not showing up for the user in their profile.

Both contact tab and edit power is fine on admin account.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

About the problem of posts getting promoted immediately: please follow the instructions _very_ carefully. You will see that you need to change the default settings of the post type "scoop". There is no patch needed.

About the other problem, I am not sure what it could be.. I've tested the code, and it seem to work here: people are able to edit their posts within the timeframe. If you see thatt there is a problem, please report it as a bug report through Drupal, providing an exact list of steps to reproduce it. However, I have the feeling you will be able to find out what's going on.
