Clean URLs for Blog content?

Question about Blog content. While I have the settings for URL set to clean (admin/settings/clean-urls), the blog content uses nodes.
Anyone know if I am missing something?

blog URL:
http://www.allhdnews.com/node/244

vs. scoop URL
http://www.allhdnews.com/Bluray/Paramount_Announces_2_Disc_Iron_Man_Blu_...
