"Nice Aliases" instructions causing "Page Not Found" for my site

Whew, it's been an uphill battle getting all the stars aligned for my first Drigg site, but I'm almost there...! I've got Drupal 5.x running with Drigg on top, the site is functional and (mostly) working at sharepointwire.com

I followed the Manual Installation instructions on the "Download and Install" page. I'm at "Nice Aliases" and have run into a snag. I followed the instructions, copying and pasting all data from custom_url_rewrite_function.php into the settings.php file and posting it.

The URLs are now showing up as domain.com/category-name/page-name as intended ..... however when trying to view the page it shows "Page Not Found".

Surely I've messed up something in the process... any thoughts what happened?

I think I figured it out....

My guess is that the "Nice Aliases" code only works with categories you create subsequent to editing the settings.php file. All posts created previous to doing so seem to be functioning with Custom URL Rewrites.
